De Europese Commissie is akkoord met de overname van bedrijfsonderdelen van zoetstoffenfabrikant Tate &Lyle door het Franse Syral.

Syral is actief in de productie van en de handel in zoetstoffen en bijproducten van mais en tarwe. Syral is eigendom van Tereos, een Franse suikerproducent. De transactie betreft The Target, een groep van vijf Tate &Lyle-fabrieken in Italië, Engeland, Spanje, België en Frankrijk.
