The Potato Processing companies in the United Kingdom have released a statement through the Potato Processors’ Association Ltd (PPA), expressing their concern for the impact of current weather conditions on UK potato processing sector.
In the United Kingdom, May and June combined have been the hottest and fifth driest on record. High temperatures combined with the lack of rain has led to soil moisture conditions at the end of June being the driest on record, for the UK as a whole.
