Lamb Weston / Meijer strengthened its position in the frozen processed potato market in Russia with the acquisition of a majority share of its existing joint venture with the Belaya Dacha Group. The joint venture owns Russia’s largest French fries factory.

The leadership of the Dutch company Lamb Weston Meijer, LWM CIS B.V., asked the Federal Antimonopoly Service to give it preliminary consent to acquire 39,38% of LLC Lamb Weston Belaya Dacha.

Lamb Weston / Meijer announced that they have signed an agreement with the Russian company Belaya Dacha to establish a new joint venture partnership to serve the Russian market.

PepsiCo and Wimm-Bill-Dann Foods OJSC, Russia's leading branded food-and-beverage company, today announced that PepsiCo has agreed to acquire 66% of Wimm-Bill-Dann for $3.8 billion, pending the required government approvals.
