Calbee, Inc. of Japan formed a partnership with Four Seas Mercantile Limited in 1976 to enter the Hong Kong snack industry. This collaboration resulted in the founding of Calbee Four Seas Company Limited in 1994, followed by the establishment of a production unit in Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate in 2000.
