Variety Description

Vales Sovereign is a late-maturing, erect-growing potato variety with pink sprouts and smooth, long-oval tubers featuring red eyes and part-red skin with cream-colored flesh. It shows medium to high resistance to internal bruising and blackleg, and high resistance to Globodera rostochiensis race 1. While field-immune to wart disease, it has low resistance to late blight on tubers and powdery scab. Minimal after-cooking blackening makes it suitable for culinary use.
