Elea PEF Chip Day 2025 will take place on 9 October 2025 at Elea Technology GmbH’s headquarters in Quakenbrück, Germany, just one day after Anuga in Cologne. The event brings together global chip producers and food industry professionals to explore the future of potato chip production using Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) technology.
PEF is a non-thermal processing method that improves cutting, texture, yield, and overall product quality in potato chips. It significantly reduces cutting force, minimizes starch leakage, and enhances knife durability—making it a powerful tool for more efficient chip manufacturing.
Event Highlights:
- Launch of the PEF Advantage B Micro – A compact, all-in-one system for small to mid-size processors.
- Live demonstrations of Elea’s systems in action. PiCon technology reveal – AI-based inline quality control using acoustic feedback.
- Expert talks and real-world insights from processors already using Elea’s systems.
- 1-on-1 expert sessions for tailored advice and product discussions (by prior request).
After the tech sessions, attendees are invited to a relaxed dinner program titled “Chip & Sip”, featuring a Scotch whisky tasting hosted by whisky specialist Dave Allardice.
Additional Testing on 10 th October
For those wishing to explore PEF even further, Elea is offering two additional product testing slots on 10 th October 2025. These sessions allow participants to trial PEF technology using their own raw materials in a controlled environment. Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
