Variety Description

MIRKA is a potato variety developed by the Potato Research Institute KERKOV in Serbia and Montenegro, introduced in 1952. It produces medium-sized, oval to round tubers with smooth light skin and pale flesh. MIRKA is mainly used for table consumption. It shows moderate resistance to late blight, good tolerance to common scab, and resistance to PVY and PVX viruses. The variety stores well with low sprouting.
