Open Farm Sunday 2026, taking place on Sunday, 7 June, is the UK’s leading annual celebration of British farming, coordinated by the environmental charity LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming). Since 2006, this nationwide event has given the public a unique opportunity to visit working farms across England, Scotland, and Wales—connecting people with where their food comes from and the farmers who produce it.
Hundreds of farms will open their gates to offer engaging, educational, and family-friendly experiences. Visitors can expect a wide variety of activities, including guided farm walks, tractor and trailer rides, livestock encounters, wildlife trails, machinery displays, and tastings of local food. The event promotes conversations around sustainability, climate change, food security, and youth interest in agriculture.
With thousands of volunteers and widespread media support, Open Farm Sunday continues to bridge the gap between farmers and the public—fostering trust, transparency, and a greater appreciation for UK agriculture.
