India Times reports that Pizza Hut is to introduce a potato topping at an outlet in the city Vadodara after extensive market research. This underlines the potential for vegetables, including potatoes in the Indian market.
But given the increasing popularity of vegetarianism around the world, instead of tempting only local palates, companies like Pizza Hut should regard India as a test market and launching pad for veggie variants that can become global successes.
