The Comite Nord is a professional organization of 490 potato producers located at the North of Paris. All 17 union in the “great Northern region” ( Nord-Pas-de-Calais, Haute Normandie, Picardie, Champagne-Ardenne and Ile de France) constitute the Regional Producing Establishment of the North (E.P.R.), which produces 235.000 T. of seeds per year in 180 varieties out of 9.588 ha, that it's represent 65% of French surfaces.

Canadian Government Invests in International Potato Research

Representatives of the Canadian Government announced an investment of $1.83 million in a Canadian-led international research effort to give potato farmers a technological edge in predicting and preventing yield losses in their fields and in storage.
