Voor de aardappelboeren worden het nog spannende tijden - zegt LTO.
Ze hebben nog vier tot zes weken tijd om de oogst van het land te halen, maar dan moet het wel droog worden, want de akkers moeten genoeg tijd krijgen om te drogen, de bodem moet weer wat harder worden, anders kunnen de machines er niet in.
Ze kunnen dit jaar meer rot verwachten in de aardappelen.
In tegenstelling tot hun collega's in het graan hebben de aardappelboeren geen vet op de botten: de prijzen zijn zo laag dat een mindere oogst niet wordt gecompenseerd.
