SDF is one of the world's largest manufacturers of tractors, harvesters, autonomous electric tractors, and diesel engines. Its products are marketed under the names SAME, DEUTZ-FAHR, Hürlimann, Grégoire, and Vitibot.
The company's headquarters are in Treviglio, northern Italy, where it was founded in 1927 by brothers Francesco and Eugenio Cassani, who designed the Cassani Tractor, one of the world's first diesel-powered tractors.
Product development, production, sales, after-sales, and spare parts distribution are managed by 9 production locations (in Europe and Asia), 13 sales branches (in Europe, Asia, and America), 2 joint ventures, 155 importers, and over 3,100 dealers worldwide.
