Credited with introducing the original boneless breast of chicken sandwich and pioneering in-mall fast food, Chick-fil-A is one of the largest privately-held restaurant chains – with over 1700 restaurants in 39 states and Washington, D.C. – and the second-largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain in the United States, based on annual sales.
In 2012, annual sales were over USD 4.6 billion. Chick-fil-A is still privately held and family owned.
