Asda has withdrawn its Smart Price Potato Salad (250g) with a 'use by' date of 26 March 2013, because it might contain peanuts. This means this product is a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy to peanuts. The Agency has issued an Allergy Alert.

Customer notices will be displayed in stores, explaining to customers why the product has been withdrawn. In addition, the company has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the withdrawal.
Customers with an allergy to peanuts are advised not to eat this product but to return it to the nearest Asda store for a full refund. Customers can also contact Asda Customer Relations on 0800 952 0101.
No other Asda products are known to be affected.
