Herr’s potato chips, popcorn and pretzels will soon have a shorter journey to Maryland grocery store shelves.
Herr Foods has leased 38,400 square feet of industrial space in North East in Cecil County. Its Nottingham, Pa. factory has reached capacity, so the company plans to use the new location to expand prodcut manufacturing, housing and distribution.
The company’s new address at 4 Center Dr. will cost $600,000 to construct over the next three years.
Herr Foods is said to have already completed the move to its Maryland factory location. The company will continue its operations in Pennsylvania, as well.
